My son would go barefoot every day of his life if I let him. During the warmer months, we compromise with flip-flops. He runs in them, plays in them and rides his bike in them. He's blown out 3 pair of flips just this summer. We were sitting outside the other evening and I happened to really take a look at these feet of his. They are probably the grossest things I have ever seen. Yuck!!
