Another project of Natalie's this year in school was to raise a cabbage seed into a small plant that she was allowed to bring home. We found a space for it in the front garden and planted the spindly little seedling. Now, just a couple of weeks later, this thing has taken off! We might have a future coleslaw on our hands - if we could just keep the bugs out of it that is...
